Betsy Donnelly is excited to announce that Ellen V. Brown, MA, LPC and Sharon Dries, MEd have recently joined Atlanta Educational Consultants. Ellen has been a Professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) for 10 years serving adolescents and young adults with therapeutic needs. Furthermore, Ellen holds licensure as a Professional Counselor and will continue to offer individual and group therapy to clients in the Atlanta area. Ellen also serves as Admissions Director for a private day school in Roswell, Georgia. Together, Ellen and Betsy will collaborate fully in the realm of therapeutic consulting as they guide families through the process of residential therapeutic placement for their son or daughter.
Sharon comes to Atlanta Educational Consultants as a College Advisement Associate, providing comprehensive college counseling services to students making the transition from high school to college. AEC works with students of all abilities, from those bound for the Ivy League or large state universities to students looking for individual niche opportunities. Sharon also holds a passion for college-bound students with LD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other special needs. In addition to helping students through the college search and application process, she will offer academic and life coaching services for young adults. Sharon’s background as Certified Life Coach brings a special focus to those students who may find difficulty with the every day rigors of college life. Sharon assists students in accessing needed on-campus supports, provides academic coaching support, and helps students manage the social and emotional demands and stressors at this next stage of their development.
